Sawatari Komugiko (沢渡小麦子) -sensei, just a sketch for a friend. Actually came out remarkably… um… mugi-ish. :P Oh, in case you hadn’t picked up on it, she’s a high school Biology teacher who specialized in the study of the Poacae plant family, specifically wheat and barley.
More than a little tired, thanks to the new meds, but i sat and fiddled with a drawing for an expansion of the unMod story i’m scripting. Been doing a lot more pencil drawing lately, sorta feels like getting back to my roots more. It’s sloppier, but there seems to be more in the drawings sometimes. If you look, you can see the fact that i actually lightly sketched this with a C-1 copic marker first, and then went in with pencil once i had the overall layout done. Largo is just always so much damn bigger than Piroko (and Pirogoeth) that getting them both to work in a frame is always a pain.
A little bit of a commission… I cleaned up frame 6 in comic 1342 and after printing in high res on some matte photo paper i did some coloring with COPIC markers. The scanner and camera really doesn’t capture the color layering right, sorta hard to explain, but it didnt come out too bad so far. Her hair color is off and the scarf over her head isnt quite right… might try doing it over again, not sure. Anyways, its nice to work in marker sometimes.
(FTR, pigment inks actually work well with COPIC markers - pencil does not work well at all, so this is really the only way i can color my stuff in COPIC :P)

The Emotional Body Pillow (EBP) design is almost done - Ping side i finished last month, but it needed a ‘party’ side, so who better for that than a sleepy Snarkybear surrounded by empty beer cans (while Boo taps happily away playing some game on the PS2). Just need to add some details (beer cans, text to the warning on Ping’s back, etc) and i will put these on sale tomorrow in the MegaGear store - planning on offering a few different sizes. More info tomorrow. :)
